The editor at a glance

Everything you do lives in one screen. Here's how it's laid out.

The EntityFlow editor regions

Top bar

Across the top you'll find:

  • File / Edit / View / Help menus — create, open, import, export, undo/redo, add objects, toggle the side panel, minimap, cardinalities and theme. → Menus
  • Diagram name in the centre.
  • Export, Share, and your account menu (or Sign in) on the right, along with the live save status ("Saved just now") and theme toggle. The account menu's Manage account opens EntityFlow Hub, where owners and admins manage the account.
  • The current dialect badge (e.g. PostgreSQL).

Side panel

The left panel is your structured view of the diagram. Tabs along the rail switch between sections:

  • Tables — every table, with inline editing of fields, types, constraints and colour.
  • DBML — a live, copyable DBML rendering of the whole schema.
  • Refs — every relationship, with cardinality, colour, width and style controls.
  • Visuals — manage container groups (Areas) and Notes.
  • Types — define and edit custom enums.
  • Settings — appearance, language, account, security (how you sign in and your active sessions) and API keys.

Canvas

The centre is an infinite, pannable, zoomable canvas. Tables, relationships, groups and notes live here. Drag to move, scroll to zoom, and drag empty space to pan. → Canvas & navigation

Toolbar

The floating toolbar (left of the canvas) holds quick actions: Add table, Auto-arrange, Undo/Redo, Zoom in/out, Fit view, Select & group, Snap to grid and Toggle minimap.

Minimap

Bottom-right, the minimap shows the whole diagram in miniature with a rectangle marking your current viewport. Click or drag it to jump around large schemas.

Status bar

The bottom-left status bar shows live counts — tables, relationships, zoom level — and a Problems indicator that opens the validation list when something needs attention.
