Export DBML
DBML is a compact, human-readable schema format — easy to read, easy to diff in code review, and supported by many other tools. EntityFlow can render your whole schema as DBML in one step.
Two ways to get it
- File → Export DBML copies the full schema as DBML straight to your clipboard.
- The DBML section in the side panel shows the same rendering live, with its own Copy button — handy while you edit.
Both produce identical output: a text description of every table, field, constraint, enum and reference in the diagram.
Example
Table products {
id integer [pk, increment]
name varchar [not null]
category_id integer
}
Table categories {
id integer [pk, increment]
name varchar [not null]
}
Ref: products.category_id > categories.id
When to use it
- Sharing a schema in a message, issue or wiki.
- Diffing schema changes in a pull request.
- Importing into another DBML-aware tool — or back into EntityFlow via Import DBML.
note
DBML describes the database, not the diagram — it doesn't carry container groups, notes, colours or positions. For a lossless snapshot that includes layout, use Export JSON.
