Tables & fields
Tables are the core of every diagram. Each one is a card holding an ordered list of fields, and you build your schema by adding tables and filling in their columns.

Creating a table
Add a table in any of these ways:
- + Table in the toolbar or the Tables panel
- Edit → Add table
- Right-click an empty part of the canvas → Add table
A card is 284px wide by default. Drag either side edge to resize it between 200 and 560px. Every card has a 7px coloured cap, a 36px header, and 33px field rows.
- Rename: double-click the table name (
Esccancels). - Collapse to header-only with the chevron in the header.
Fields
Add fields with + Field (card footer, right-click menu, or the panel). Reorder them by dragging the grip handle — rows animate into their new positions. You can't delete the last field, since every table needs at least one.
Field types
Field types come from the diagram's dialect plus your custom enums. Click a field's type to open the searchable type picker. When you pick a different size of the same base type, it preserves a (length) / (precision) suffix such as varchar(255).

The field popover (pencil icon) edits the default value, description, and constraints:
- Primary key
- Unique
- Nullable
- Auto-increment (only enabled for numeric types)
- a per-row colour

Field badges
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Gold key | Primary key |
| Blue link | Foreign key |
# | Regular field |
| NN | Not null |
| ✓ | Unique |
| Auto | Auto-increment |
Table colour
Pick from 8 swatches plus a custom colour — right-click the table or use the Tables panel. The colour also tints the table's mark in the minimap.
Table actions
Right-click a table for the full menu:

- Duplicate table — copies the fields, but not its relationships
- Bring to front
- Add to / Detach from a group
- Delete table (also
Delete/Backspace; confirms first)
Selecting & moving
- Multi-select with Shift+click or a marquee.
- Copy / paste with
Cmd/Ctrl+C/Cmd/Ctrl+V— pasted tables land at an offset. - Nudge the selection with the arrow keys: 1px per press, 20px with
Shift, and the step accelerates while you hold the key.
